Tired of listen and repeat? How about a mystery? In 22 episodes. It’s even somewhat interactive in that it asks at the beginning if you are male or female so that it can tailor its responses. And you’re encouraged to actually speak out loud to the people you meet in the videos.
Each episode has a theme (asking for directions, going shopping, etc). There is a syllabus, tags for reviewing key scenes, and a printable consolidated learning section that presents the 8 key words, phrases and grammar points for each section. And it’s fun. It’s even a good refresher course for non-beginners, who can simply fast forward over the learning sections that they already know.
Check it out. At this link (http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/mividaloca/) you’ll find an overview, a user guide, a teacher’s guide (for classroom use), a syllabus and printouts, a Mini Vida Loca, the videos and even a Trailer. And a newsletter. Let me know what you think. I like it.
