A Visit to Monte Albán, Mexico

The ride to Monte Albán took less than 20 minutes (it actually took me longer to get to the bus station). We drove through a corner of Oaxaca and then started up a narrow, winding mountain road. It was in good condition, but there were no rails between the road and the edge of the mountain. Yikes! The road was fairly busy and we passed several large dump trucks, buses, cars and motorcycles coming from the opposite direction. It was tight, but we made it.

The school I’m attending in Oaxaca is Español Interactivo. I love it. At least for someone like me, who has a grasp of the language but needs lots and lots of hearing and speaking, this school is Great.

Home from Buenos Aires, Argentina

So our preparations paid off. We’re safe, well and home, and glad to be home, and only a little tired. Not bad for three weeks on the other side of the planet. Right this minute, if someone handed us a pair of tickets for a free two week cruise in the Caribbean that left tomorrow, we would …….. pack those bags. We’re out of here.
